Men's Prayer

Men's Prayer

Saturdays 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Jesus rose early each day to spend time in prayer with the Father (Mark 1:35). We are called to follow Jesus’ example (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6).

Zero Dark Thirty is our attempt to answer Jesus’ call to pray. This is a time where for an hour early Saturday mornings the men of Calvary Chapel of Hope come together to pray. After our time of prayer we enjoy breakfast and fellowship together. Then we depart for our day spiritual invigorated. Come join us for prayer in the presence of the Lord.

Men's Fellowship

Tuesdays 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Meetings will have a varied approach to encourage interaction, camaraderie, and accountability. The formats will vary between: Meetings will have a varied approach to encourage interaction, camaraderie, and accountability. The formats will vary between:

1. Verse Studies. The leader of the meeting will research and bring forth a topic from the word that would be expanded on for the meeting.

2. Topical Studies. Taking a news event and having scriptures and principles from the Word to review the event through the lens of God.

3. “Open Mic Night”. We will ask brothers in the Lord what’s on their mind and discuss it from a Christian prospective.

4. Speakers. Because this is intended to be interactive, we hope not to do this too often, but we will have speakers come in to address topics from time to time, whether from within the group or from outside.

5. Bring a dish night. When all else fails, we can just eat.

The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones;

You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Life Night

Midweek meetings at Calvary Chapel of Hope are called Life Night. This is a time of small group Bible study and discussion, fellowship, worship and prayer. Our gatherings are similar to our Life Group home fellowships only they take place at our church. The Life Night ministry is not a substitute for but in addition to the Life Groups we are planning to establish in individual homes.

Studying through portions of God’s word verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book is our prime focus of Life Night. However our means of study will take different forms. For instance on occasion we will emphasize fellowship, e.g. maybe centered around food dishes from a foreign mission land. Some evenings our focus will be praying together. Other times we may spend extended time in worship. There may be an occasional edifying movie. We may study current events in light of Bible prophesy. We will follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

So get your Bible and get ready for a night of life in Christ. Come join us as we Study God’s word and seek the Lord’s help in applying it to our lives in a life changing edifying ways. Come join us for fellowship and getting to know one another better. Come join us to worship and pray together. Invite a friend. All are welcome.

The early church met in larger temple and synagogue gatherings as well as from house to house (Acts 4:26). It was when the early small group of Jesus’ followers came together with hearts that were of one accord that the Holy Spirit empowered them and used them to impact their world for Jesus and His gospel. That is our vision too. Come join us as we serve Him by His grace and for His glory.

In His service, by His grace, for His glory,
