Daniel - God is My Judge
Have you ever been in circumstances beyond your control and were at a loss to explain them? Did such a situation cause you to be discouraged or to question whether or not it was worth it to go on? Did you ever feel like just giving up? Has the seeming hell bent downward spiral of the world and the apparent constant victories of the forces of evil caused you to feel hopeless and defeated? If any of this is true for you, then Daniel is a book worth your study time.

"Daniel" means God is my Judge. The meaning of His name is significant. The book of Daniel is a book inspired by God to encourage, or to put courage into God’s people who were in captivity. Though they were experiencing life shaking shattering events, their hope needed to remain in God. Though the enemy was in control on the surface and in the world, they needed to remember that in reality God was the One in control of all things, they needed to remember God is their Judge. As we study this book we will see this conveyed in both the individual lives of Daniel and others as well as in the events pertaining to kings and kingdoms. God is the Judge of individuals as well as empires. God is the Judge of all. God is in control.

May you discover or rediscover in this book that with God no situation is hopeless. May you see that God is real and at work in life as you see His incredible word of prophecy. May the volume of this book point you to Jesus. May the Spirit apply this word powerfully to your life. May God do exceedingly abundantly above anything you could ask or think as you come to study His word. God bless you
